It's time! ...to grab a fuzzy blanket, a mug of hot cocoa, and snuggle up with a great read. There are so many of those out there of course, but in December we get the perfect excuse to read something seasonally thematic- and what else could so thoroughly put you into the cheerful mindset of this time of year than a a cozy holioday story? So let's get started with our favorite holiday books for both adults and kids this year:

Title: The Christmas Magic
Comments:Oh, the lovely, gentle spirit of this story... As beautifully illustrated as it is told... I know exactly what Jon Muth (the illustrator) means when he says "this is the Santa I know in my heart."
Bookseller: Zazu
Title: 'Twas Nochebuena
Comments:As a Mexican-American, I get skeptical when I encounter supposedly multicultural books- they often get it so wrong! But this book is wonderful (and accurate)!!!
I love the festive Spanish vocab, colorful illustrations, and fun story.
This is the perfect book for multicultural families: kids who can relate will love seeing their unique holiday traditions in a storybook for once; others will be educated, inspired, and feel good about whatever unique holiday traditions their own family has!
Everyone's special!
Especially on Nochebuena...

Title: The Gingerbread Pirates
Comments:Ahoy, young mateys! Christmas is just on the horizon! This clever, very funny tale is a great read-aloud for the weeks before Christmas (or anytime, really, for young pirates).
