I love this series! I only started reading it to find out why it was so popular - and boy do I get it now! It is possibly the most compelling story (& characters) I have ever read - you can't stop reading - so thank goodness these are long books that we can settle down with and savor. And it's NOT gratuitous fun! There's so much to learn! History, ecology, medicine... you name it! This series is in a category all on its own. One I didn't know I needed until I got it! You need it too!
