Join your friends and neighbors to enjoy a community poetry night!
February 23rd at 6pm will be our second poetry night. Due to the success of our first, this is now a MONTHLY event, occurring every last Thursday of the month!
Read your own works or share someone else's (published or unpublished) that you love. Accompany it with your musical instrument or your artwork, team up with a friend, act it out spoken word style, or just read it off a scrap of paper. This evening is all about celebrating the written word come alive, however that looks for you!
Reading is not required to attend, though we do hope you will! You may share a poem (or part of one, or a few, depending on length--please try to stay under five minutes), or even short works of fiction or nonfiction. Sign up to read by arriving a little early and putting your name down. There is a limit on number of readers possible, so the earlier you arrive, the more likely you'll get a chance to read. Children and student readers and attendees are welcome! Refreshments provided.
ALL POETRY BOOKS (ADULT AND CHILDREN'S) WILL BE 10% OFF FOR ATTENDEES THAT NIGHT!
Local authors are welcome to get in touch to make sure we're stocking your poetry book if you come read from it!
