The Berkshires and our surrounding area has been home to a myriad of talented and influential women writers over the years. Some of our most famous women authors include Edith Wharton, Catherine Maria Sedgwick, Edna St. Vincent and Harriet Beecher Stowe, to name a few. The Berkshire’s contemporary literary scene continues to enjoy hundreds of talented women, many who have become quite famous and influential in their own right.
